Tanna and Sam are seriously cool. I know that sounds so lame and overused but they're just cool. Their engagement session felt a heck of a lot more like hanging out with friends than it did work--although that could be because we started in a bar ;)
It was a warmer day, considering it was January, but the wind would not quit, so we made plans to shoot indoors. After
Plan A Plan B fell through, we checked out Prairie Berry Eastbank in Downtown Sioux Falls to see if they would mind if we took photos. We'd have some drinks, of course! Twist my arm...
Tanna and Sam are dealing with a typical South Dakota January now, but in less than a month they're headed to MEXICO where they'll say I DO! I am so excited for them I can hardly stand it. We chatted all about their plans and it's safe to say I'm a smidge jealous of the fun they're going to have. And Mexico when it's freezing back here? Seriously great idea.
Seriously, this location was unreal. We had so much fun getting a little creative! Once we decided to brave the outdoors, we headed further downtown on to Phillips Ave.
I love shooting in Downtown Sioux Falls! It's such a cool area. I love all the local businesses, and they do a killer job of decorating their store windows. It all makes for the perfect backdrop!
Tanna and Sam, I cannot WAIT to hear all about Mexico, and I SERIOUSLY cannot wait to photograph your reception back home! And, when the dust settles from all the wedding hubbub, we are getting drinks...again :)
Cheers to clients who become friends!
